yes and sometimes it can be dibilitating. i takes meds and now in therapy. it's helping. i think the combination has helped. i also do yoga (which i think really has helped) and get as much exercise as i can. the person who posted saying they are in the mental health field is mistaken (perhaps they work in the state of Maryland)...there is most definately a diagnosis of clinical anxiety.....at least that's what my phychiatrist tells me.

I have no clue as to what clinical anxiety is. I am in the mental health field but haven't heard that expression. As for anxiety itself, many, many people have this, and it can be treated in various ways. If you are affected by it, I would consult a Mental Health Clinic, or a psychologist to see what he/she can do for you.

never diagnosed, since im used to my own weirdness, and so is my family-but i wake up in the middle of the night worrying about accidents, all sorts of things that could go wrong, and i get very tense about driving,so yeah,i think i have that !!! i worry about really stupid stuff,like-what if someone in my family slips on a bar of soap, hits their head and drowns when im not home?so i constantly nag about putting the soap on the shelf !!! i drive myself/everyone else-nuts !!!! ps-they didnt have this diagnosis when i was a kid,so i didnt grow up thinking i had a mental problem-everyone just said "gee,ur a worrywart!" somehow, that sounds more normal !!!!!

I have anxiety, but I dunno how severe it is. I see a therapist, so that helps I guess. It's not THAT bad.
