From February to about June when I was 17 I had a b/f I was completely in love with (the only other man I ever truly loved besides my hubby). He moved, long distance didn't work out, we had a messy break up. I cried for three months straight. I started going out again in September just because I was sick of being alone. I started up with a guy in December. Two days before Christmas the guy was staying over (yes at my parents house). I was sleeping and I heard a knocking on my window. I woke up (guy next to me didn't) and I saw the ex stopped in mid-knock looking through my window with a horrified look on his face. He gave me a disappointed look, turned and walked away.
He was supposed to be about 1,000 miles away at the time. A little over a week later I thought I saw him walking down the street (small town) and I asked a person we were both friends with if he came back to visit. That person said he moved back two days ago.
Premonition, dream, or reality - your thoughts?

Dirty - I was 17, I didn't have a husband
Alion, I doesn't matter, I said I've been wondering. It's bothered me because I've never been able to figure it out & I've always been pretty in touch with these things.

Geez people, I'm not still in love with the guy, I'm over it, married, moved on...I'm a different person than when I was 17.
The question is whether or not is was a dream or not.

well it could be a few things.

I had some dreams that appear to been real.
I had real spiritual things that happened, spirits and ghost.

And I do know, some people while asleep, their aura, is large and so their soul can come out of their body...... I know this to happen to two people, and one of these woman said that she can travel to places.
Or you two could of met by spiritual sensory.... the spirit does a lot of things that the body isn't aware of, like pray to God.
You see it was on his mind to move back.

Then again, you said that this friend new both of you, so perhaps your friend lie about when he came back.

p.s. I had something like that that happen to me, where spirits knock on my windows too..... about three times.

well it sounds confusing at best, only you can answer what is reality and what isn't...

it sounds like you love you hubby alot, and it would be a good idea to no longer entertain your long lost love hope and desires.
It is so easy to dream and get carried away with our thoughts that they over take us during the days. Soon we fantasize and become entangled in hope and desperation to know "what if" we fail to recognize the good thing going we have with the person who is in the here and now.

If it was a dream, sounds like you had then alot of supressed feelings about this person, if it wasn't then sounds like he didn't suspect that you would move on with your life. Either way it is his loss because you both broke up and you have to ask yourself was it he or you that broke it off? Sounds like it was him since you had residual feelings left. It isn't up to you to try to figure this out or make it your life's mission to understand what happened. You are happy now, and although you may look at this break up as a regret, learn to accept the joy and love and laughter that came from it, and learn to see the growth it gave you.
We all take away good things from relationships, and we take bad... the key is to learn and continue living. There is more than one person that loves you, and your hubby's feelings are important too.
It is too long to harbour this for 13 years, please learn to let go. Write a letter if you have to, but DON't track this lost love down and send it. Just burn it, send it down a river as a memorial and LET GO... love yourself enough to move on and give yourself to the marriage one hundred percent. Give your hubby the love that you are wasting... You'll be surprised after you do, you'll see how closer the two of you really can be.

It is a warning to leave your husband or at least have an affair.

EDIT: If you want to know if it was a dream, You can use a black light in the place you guys had sex to find his semen and take it in for a DNA test.

You would know better than anyone else if you were dreaming
or not. My guess is it was real, and the person you were talking to
was confused about when your ex returned. What does it matter
after thirteen years?
