Alton Brown is fun and informative. Really liked his cross country adventure. Laughed my guts out when he couldn't light a fire on Pikes Peak (I live 4 miles from the summit -- as the crow flies).
Mario Batali is calm in the middle of the storm of Iron Chef. He's athentic and sincere.
Giada De Laurentiis, also athentic, cute as a button. But she did have a bit of a melt down during Iron Chef. Bobby Flay could have done a better job in guiding her for that showdown.
Emeril is boring and his recipes taste vile!

I like Rachel Ray. She is perky and upbeat. Of course I liked Julia Child, but I wasn't very old when she was on. I also like Paula Dean. She seems never to worry about how much butter she uses. Also, the Italian chick; Giada De Laurentiis. She is so cool and soooo hot. Yeah, I like Alton Brown because I like knowing what makes food work.

I guess I would have to say Emeril. But I started watching him when he first started on the Food Network, and I didn't know how to cook. This was long before he was a superstar. Those original Emeril shows where there was no studio audience, actually taught me a lot, especially about cuts of meat.

My favourite tv chef is jamie oliver. i like the way that he cooks and the fact that he has transformed school dinners they are now much more healthier for children
