When will they learn that things that look complex and 'designed' don't necessarily have a designer?
The answer is of course - never. Faith is a perfect shield of wilful ignorance against rational thought, science and logic.
What should be funny is the fact that religious types think its an answer at all - 'God did it' what does that explain? Nothing! If you can't understand something then claim it was down to a magical sky-fairy who is to blame for everything. Religion seems to respect ignorance and stupidity in a way that I simply cannot.

Perhaps you should have included the "not" in your question, so that it properly read:
"When will believers learn that complexity does NOT imply design?"
:)
I have little hope for the ignorant and the closed-minded. These are people who look at the sunset and think, "oh, goodness, god created this just for me to see!" Their thought processes have been so whacked by religious dogma that many are completely incapable of logical thought or reason. After all, their starting point is believing in a magic sky-fairy who grants wishes and promises a wonderful life after death if you'll just follow a bunch of silly, ancient rules that make no sense whatsoever...

You are quite right in the intention of your Question .
However , Because there will never be a satisfactory rational answer as to why there should be anything as opposed to nothing ,then people of faith or just agnostic in their views will either look to an unfathomable uncreated first cause beyond the limits of our minds ,contained as they are within the total lived experience of the cosmos , or will conclude that the answer is beyond human understanding . If there is an uncaused first cause then if it was and is responsible for the cosmos then it is outside and beyond that which it created , for it existed before and there was never an eternity when it did not exist . If such a power exists it would be possible for him/her/ it/them to will into existence all that is and then allow his creation of time to gradually mould and evolve with greater and greater complexity , life .
Think of it this way , is a designer one who takes the idea forward to production , or the one who has the original idea or thought ?
Is evolution nothing more than the production line set in motion by .................... ?

Complexity has nothing to do with design. There are many complex natural features on earth, they were not designed they just happened due to weathering. Do you also believe that simplicity implies lack of design? If so think of the humble hammer.

if god as the maker has axess to all knowledge, is not pheasable then that he could calculate all our behaviour how much, we take out of the earth, how much we will put back, which of the peoples of the earth will be the most sinfull, if he wants to destroy the wicked, surley he can position many of them where he knows there will be an earthquake, or a sunami, he can calculate that the rich will be in the most sort after spots and coastal resorts
for holidays knowing there will be a sunami, like he said " even the isles of the sea shall know that i am the lord," there are spiritual calculations not just figures, spiritual calculations are based on full knowledg of the person. if you have a wayward daughter you tell to be in for 10pm, and she comes rolling home at midnight half cut, you could have calculated that, god knows his enemies, he knows his freinds, and he knows the ego maniacs who refuse to recognise his work.

The more complex something is the less likely it was all by chance - therefore complexity implies design and a Designer !!!

It is the argument from personal incredulity and always gives me a good laugh... 'I don't understand how....' 'It's not possible that...' all they do is show up their lack of knowledge and intelligence.
Oh and we 'non-believers' actually know that science is NEVER right, just the best approximation that we have so far come up with, all scientific knowledge is provisional.

Complexity lives, if god created the earth, then he must have created the universe. In which case why do Christians etc not believe in aliens, cos surly god would not have just planted his creations on one planet. It would be wasteful
