If someone's committed and getting married, their reasons for running a wedding announcement are to share that with the world and with anyone who might know them but might not have been informed yet. The ex-boyfriends likely don't even factor into the picture though - there is a new man in the picture, and the likelihood that the bride to be even thinks about her exs often (let alone does something just to enrage them) is practically non-existent. If you're the ex, get over yourself and be happy for her!

people do not run their wedding announcements in the paper to enrage "psycho ex's" they run them because they are proud of their love and committment to each other. Obviously you are the psycho ex and there probably was a good reason why you are no longer together. I wish her luck and that her fiancee is a good man.

I'm fairly sure my ex's are too busy being stupid, getting drunk, & wasting their lives to actually read a newspaper.
But seriously, I'm running an announcment just to let people I've not seen in a while that I'm getting married. My fiance & I both moved out of our small home towns, so we've lost contact with alot of people.
