Move out if he can. It's not a good situation. but it happens. He is hurt and should not be exposed to this. His sister, by the way, should be ashamed of herself. Her brother emotions should come first.

this sounds like Ross on friends yes it will hurt there is noway that you can get over this fast even with his sister he needs to say some thing to his sister of how he feels and to his ex gf this will help with the healing of what has happen to him he will not stop having feelings for her every one that we come in contact has an impression on us if we like it or not

I think the best way to solve this is by not living in the same house anymore....by this,I think that your friend can forget her easily and can done anything that can help him to forget her easily....Becoz by staying in there,i Think it's kinda hard to forget her,especially the memories in that house......
