Go to the liquor store and look for Mumms, Domaine Chandon, Moet et Chandon White Star, Schramsberg or Iron Horse.

All are winners in my book.

California whine is been shown do be superior to French whine. The French people who did the taste test even made jokes about the wine they thought was from CA, then they found out they were putting down French whine. I forget where I read this. Probably discover magazine. Other than that, just try some and go with a brand you like. It's just like buying beer or anything else. Just try it and see.
