If you say you're going to do something, do it. As far as being confident, just remember, 99% of people on the planet are just as nervous & insecure as you. Relax and be yourself.

This is exactly the personality type that I am. In fact, I am so confident in my knowledge that others seek me out for answers too, so even they have confidence in me for this purpose.
That is because 90% of what i tell them is based in fact, and this is what you need to do. Do not take life as a joke, and when you discuss a matter and provide your input be certain you speak factually, and provide the facts if necessary.
It also requires "Honesty" because people need to know if you are telling them a true fact, a false fact, or whatever. In other words, if I do not have any knowledge of a subject, I will tell them just that, "This is not my area of expertise, and beyond the scope of my knowledge base."
Lastly, you need to expand your current knowledge in those areas of interest to you, so you truly do have a vast knowledge in specific areas. Over time people will appreciate this and will seek you out for answers to problems related to your chosen areas of expertise.
