~~~here is an easy no fuss no mess way to cook your wonderful crab legs....line a deep oblong pan with foil. Lay crablegs in pan,,fill about 1/4 deep with water....cover with foil. Bake for about 1/2 hour at 350. This will steam them nicely ,,,and they wont be over watery because your not boiling them.....I find that boiling them in a big pot on the stove is so messy,,,,I want to save the messy part for the eating part....I like to serve them with little baby butter potatoes,,,steam them,,,toss with butter and a little crushed black pepper,,,,and a nice crisp side salad,,,,yummy ! dont forget the melted butter to dip that wonderful white fluffy crab meat in,,,,,,
First of all, I'm highly envious that you have FOUR pounds of King crab legs!!
Steam them for about 10 minutes. Serve with a garlic lemon butter.
We like a mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and feta, and crusty French bread with olive oil and balsamic for dipping the bread.
We're always so stuffed that appetizers and desserts aren't needed!
(And save those shells and make crab stock tomorrow!)
My sister in law served crab legs for my niece's birthday party. She grilled them and they turned out very tasty! She served them with jumbo shrimp skewers - also grilled, rosemary chicken breasts, a fruit compote, garlic green beans sprinkled with sea salt, potatoes baked in aluminum foil on the grill, a salad with baby greens, tomatoes, and peppers drizzled in a raspberry vinigraite. The appetizers were stuffed mushrooms, grilled scallops, and hot artichoke dip with rye flatbread. The desserts were a lemon chiffon pie, an apple pie, and a chocolate-raspberry torte.
