Nah, not without a seat and belt.
I know we managed for years but big brothers on to it for the stealth tax now.They use the safety propaganda routine to extort the fine ,yet dont seem to mind if we rot inside out from MRSA in something they are supposed to be responsible for.

Ye, and its minimum 3 points on your licence too..YOU WILL use public transport!

No it certainly is not, nor any van unless fitted with properly fitted seats, however illegal aliens seem to get away with it; and i once saw 23 asian gentlemen climb out the rear of one quite a few years ago. I used to have an old sofa in the back of mine for extra passengers until i got a warning from the boys in blue

This is covered, I believe, under the "construction and use" legislation. As previously stated if the van does not have seats and seat belts in the rear then it is illegal to carry passengers there.

if you travel in the back of the van with no seats you are breaking 2 laws
1 that you have an insecure load
2 that your passengers are failing to comply with the seat belt laws

There is no law that says you cannot ride in the back of a comercial van . vans do not come under the seat belt law unless it is a constucted seater van, if they are not fitted you cannot use them, if a seat is fitted then yes you do have to have a seat belt

no. carrying passengers in a manner where they are likely to suffer injuries in an accident is classed as dangerous driving. take a look at the penalties you could get for that it should put you off doing this.
loads of people do it but lots of people suffer injries carried in the back of vehicles. if it aint got seats it aint for carrying passengers!

highly inadvisable , and if it is not a properly fitted seat with seat belts you WILL get done.

In an accident the prop shaft can come through the floor and thrash about.
