I think it was to show us the possibilities. we are all "children of God" You know the scripture about..."faith of a mustard seed"
The idea being that we can accomplish anything through pure faith. Regardless of religious affiliation.
Just an opinion. Although I don't believe every single thing in the bible..Most religions follow the same ideas about faith and the accomplishments we can have or make through it.

I don't know what "thinking differently" or "repenting" have to do with miracles. Or what thinking differently & repenting have to so with each other. Something logically unsound about the question from the start. There are no miracles. There is cause & effect. I recall a woman whose child "just" missed a stray bullet from a street gang, & she called it a "miracle." If the bullet had killed her child, her response would have been: "It was the will of god." In either case, natural events are attributed to god--"bad" or "good." Not only do people like this deny the Newtonian world in which we most definitely live, all incidents are attributed to god. Jesus did not perform any miracles. Look into the history, & how myths have changed & grown over centuries. IN DEFENSE OF CHRISTIANS --who have a right to their belief, I take umbrage with lulu who says "Jeus is a figment of some poor sick fevered imagination." Very nasty. Jesus DID exist, & was an extraordinary man. Period. The "tales" woven about him over time are another issue. This has done more harm than good to what he represented.
Edit: I'm in for it because spell check wouldn't work. I'm probably in for it in any case. C'est la vie.

His miracles were not to be made into a how-to manual for us. He did the same miracles in different ways, depending on the situation, for example, He didn't make mud to smear on every blind man's eyes.
The miracles were signs of Him being the true Messiah, and yes we as His disciples could be capable of doing miracles. We just need to dig deeper into our faith and get closer to God, so we know when the time is right to do a miracle. Miracles are never meant to be a proof to unbelieving critics, but a sign to people who are sincerely seeking the truth, and a way to unify the church.

According to the bible, Jesus performed Miracles to prove he was who he said he was. In the bible God used miracles to prove that the person speaking was in fact speaking for him.
If the bible is true and correct and is the word of God, we no longer need miracles and thus they have ceased. If miracles still exist, then Jesus was not the Christ and the bible is not the word of God and whoever performs miracles can write their own bible.

I believe Jesus did miracle to show He came from God and had the Spirit of God with and in Him. Now a days we have that same Spirit in us as believers. I think the reason we don't see more miracles is lack of faith in God, Christ, the Spirit and in faith its self. We forget how powerful faith can be. We also tend to want to preform miracles for self recognition or other selfish motives rather than to glorify God.

There are no miracles, just events without impartial observers. Miracles, like Saints are always recognised AFTER the event. All so called Biblical miracles have been duplicated, and yes they did fool the unknowing observers.

What’s a miracle anyway? To Primitive man it was rubbing two sticks together and a miracle occurred… We got fire.

i don't think so. I think that he performed miracles becasue A. nobody would bellive that he was the son of god unless he could do something maraclius, B, because he was a wonderful perdon and wanted to help people. He wanted to heal, and to raise form the dead. He belived that everybody should have a seconf chance, and healded them of thier sins.
