on food labels where it lists ingredients, when looking at the liste ingredients, does it mean the first item listed has the greatest volume in the product, then the nextitem have the 2nd greatest amount in the product, so on and so forth or are they just listed in no particular order?

No, the ingredient with the greatest volume IS first, and vice versa for the ingredient with the least volume. For example, shampoo is made of many things, the greatest of these being water.
Water is usually the first on the list of many things.

You are right. The one with the most content is listed first and so on.

I use to work at a cereal manufacturing plant. That is true.
If you notice sugar is close to the top and they use an enormous amount of sugar in certain cereal products.
