I was just wondering what people think of this.

Here is the verse where God told Eve her punishment for her part in the whole tree of knowledge fruit heist (in two translations):

NIV
To the woman he said,
"I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you."

KJV
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

He told her that He would increase her pain in childbearing. That's what the NIV says, anyway. The KJV puts it a little differently, so I'm wondering if there might be more than one meaning.

But anyway, assuming this story is literal, could this suggest that Adam and Eve had children while they were in the Garden?

You have to look at when God told Adam and Eve this. He told them of pain in child bearing after notifying them of being banished from the Garden of Eve and as stated is her part in the punishment for eating the fruit. They may have conceived while within the garden but she gave birth very painfully outside the garden. Adam and Eve were beyond the bliss of the Garden of Eve, therefor everything was harder.

They did not have children while in the Garden of Eden. Here is another one for you I bet you did not know. Satan was the father of Cain. The fruit of knowledge of good and evil was Satan. He seduced Eve. You have to go back to the original languages to understand this. Ask any doctor and they will tell you it is possible to have twins with separate fathers. When Eve had Able, she CONTINUED in BIRTH. (Genesis 4: 1, 2, 3) (Genesis 15:16)So what does that mean? She gave birth to TWINS. Remember also that Christ said to the religious leaders when they were questioning Him in the Book of John, please read John 8: 42, 43, 44. PAY ATTENTION to verse 44 closely. YOU HAVE GOT to understand what is written before you can make sense of it. I am only trying to help. Please be ready for some off the wall comments. I know I will receive them for sure.

The Bible is up for interpretation, using many metaphors… A book of fables up for interpretation, but I say consider the source, back then we had a lot superstitious people taking metaphors and bedtime stories as truths...

If God created Adam, why couldn’t he just create Eve? Did he really need that rib?

Eve ate the apple, which gave her wisdom. I have eaten many an apple and achieved no advancement in my intelligent level by doing so.

And so what she ate an apple, now man can get away with murder just by accepting Christ, but poor Eve was condemned to eternal damnation.

The Bible never states how old Adam and Eve were when created or how they aged in the garden. I do believe they did have children while there. Cain and Abel were their first two children after their banishment. I really have no Biblical support on this but it's all just a feeling I get while reading in context.
Please no one e-mail me for my support on my theories.

ADAM AND HIS CHILDREN TO GRANDCHILDREN TO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN

Adam is created to 02nd year has a son named Cain.
Adam is created to 04th year has a son named Abel.
Adam is created to 06th year has a son.
Adam is created to 08th year has a girl.
Adam is created to 28th year has 4 & 4. 12 children. Has 2 granddaughter,
Adam is created to 48th year has 22 children, Cain 46, Abel 44, 42, 40, 38, 36, 34, 32.
Adam is created to 58th year has 25 children, gandchildren and great grandchildren.
Adam is created to 99th year has 45 children, 4 generation and cousins.

Adam age 130, Cain age 128, kills Able 126 and Seth is born. Cain takes a wife.

WHAT FATHER COULD BE AGE 130 AND HAVE A SON 128 AND 126, BUT ADAM?

Adam said, Eve was bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. None could be closer and the incest law was not in the land until 2515 years later with Aaron and Moses.

I AM TRYING TO GET A CLUE ON HOW THEY DID IT.

the curse was to increase the pain in childbearing for all women, not just for Eve. Since there is no biblical record of their having children before the Fall, we have to assume that all children were born afterward.

I think this suggests that they were fully capable of having children before they left the garden. fully functional human beings. However there is no indication in scripture that Eve concieved before the fall.

If you are going to try to take the bible literally, you need to read it in the origional languages, not quibble over the translations. Learn Hebrew.
