I had a friend that went to FA- Food Anonymous. I don't know the website, but it was very successful for her. She lost about 60 pounds, going from 200 to 140.

Another thing you might want to try is the Discovery Health Challenge 2007. It's a free service to help you lose weight/become healthier. There's a fitness tracker, weight tracker, forum to talk about your problems, etc. When you register, you give them your height and weight, and they actually have a personalized plan telling you how many calories you should eat, etc. They also have a personalized meal plan depending on what kind of diet you want to follow. It's actually a really good resource. Here's the address:

Good luck with everything!

First of all stop eating out, fast food contains to many hidden saturated fats which puts on pounds. When i lost weight of 65 lbs after my child, my doctor suggest no fast foods eat frest fruit and veggies and under do exception eat after 7 at night plus get plenty of exerciise. You my think you busy but do you exercise? I bought a Ab-Lounge and it really helped. Loss inches the first month and feel a lot better.
I made a list every day for a week of what i ate and drink, how much i walked and exercised. at the end of the week i total up the calories and was shocked. I was taking in 2000 colies a day more than my body was burning so it went to fat. Don't starve yourseld eat 3-4 small meals a day with veggie in between if you get hungury. And remember it take time. It took time to gain the weight and time to loose it. My doctor said it takes @ 2 weeks to loose 1 lb. for most people. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS

Do not go for a diet fad, all our bodies are different, so why follow the same diet for all of them? Here are some tips to help you lose weight!

Drink at least 8 glasses of cold water every day. Cold water actually uses up calories because your body can't use the water when it is too cold, so it uses energy to heat it up.

*Stop drinking soda and sugary juices all together, they do nothing but harm your body.

*Eat smaller meals, but more meals throughout the day. Never skip a meal, because you skip a meal, overeat at the next meal, feel bad, skip another meal, overeat again, ect. DOES NOT WORK!

*Veggies and fruits are your friends! Plus, eating pomigranite (the actual fruit) can curb your appetite, plus it will take you a full hour to pick out all that stuff in the actual fruit :)

*When you eat, be sure to sit up straight and have a little pillow on your lower back. This will help your brain realize it is full. It takes the brain 15-20 minutes to realize you are full!

*When you eat, take 3 bites, a sip of cold water, 3 bites, sip of cold water. This will help your brain realize it is full.

*Get smaller plates and smaller knives and forks. Why? Studies show that a group of people with big bowls and giant spoons will eat TONS of ice cream before full. While people who have little bowls and need to eat the ice cream with tiny sample spoons still eat that little bowl of ice cream, and they feel satisfied and full!

Its OK to eat out, just make better choices. Watch the salad dressings, they can have more calories than the main meal. Try keeping fruit with you so you can have something before your meal, you won't be starving and will likely make better choices. Also, walking is excellent. Park far from stores and restaurants. Every step counts. And drink plenty of water. Good Luck !

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

A sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.

Besides the valuable suggestions from others answering your question, I would add a tip I found to be helpful.

To avoid eating in the mid to late evening, my rule is no food or drink(except water) once I brush and floss. I try to do this between 7:00 - 8:00 PM.

I have the solution for you because I was in your same shoes, I was turned onto a product called BEE POLLEN last year the web site is http://www.beeroyalproducts.com By taking bee pollen every time I was hungry or craving after 10 days my appetite was gone and so were the cravings, my doctor explained to me that being over weight means we have deficiencies in our body and we crave food once we have nourished our body with what it needs the desire to eat goes away, the plan is simple you can eat whatever you want just cut the portions down and eat Bee Pollen every time you feel an urge or hunger , it works I lost 60 pounds and it has stayed off for a year now no cravings , no weight regain and I enjoy myself I go out drink my wine no worries no restrictions because your body will restrict you naturally . Bee Pollen contains all your B Vitamins to stabilize your blood sugar levels and it is a protein. Try it you won't regret it
