You should read about Rene Descartes if you haven't already.
he's the first philosopher who really started covering this majorly. (he's they guy who said "I think therefor I am"
Well, there is no proof there it isn't all in your head. The only thing you can be certain of, is that yourself exists because of the think therefor I am thing, but you can't be sure of anything you remember.

No its not all in the mind. Everything that you touch is tangible and real to you through your sight and other senses. However, there are other intangibles which is also real but not tangible, such as air, gravity etc. You can tell that it is windy but you can't see it even though you can see its effects. You may be able to contain it though in a vessel.
You can tell that you love or hate; even though you can't see it, you can feel it. It is not a product of your thought. It is as real to you as something you can see in front of you. Reality is not all in the mind. It could be subjective and not heavily influenced by those around us. As those around us just affirms what we consider is real.
Real is real. You can substantiate it, Unreal is unreal, you can't and it could be a product of the mind.

Reality is a set of circumstances we are placed in. We can only be a product of our own environment. There are more ways to see than what our senses allow. Look through an infrared image, a microscope, or a string theory model showing vibrations.

No don't be stupid.
David Deutsch gives a good refutation of solipsism (thats the theory you're talking about) in his book 'the fabric of reality'.
More than unbalance and ignorant you'd have to think someone was incredibly arrogant to think their own thoughts were responsible for creating the Universe given that there's so much in it you don't understand.
As for other peoples thoughts... that's a complication. How did they think the world in to being? Come on, lets not waste time on it. Its a silly notion.

Reality is of host and structural nature, to hold an identity into existence.
Actually, ours worldly senses are incapable of its perception. It is the language of our soul and original self.
Certain signs and symbol translate it to us, partially, not fully.
Reality is always hidden under a cover or shell of aesthetics, like each and every element in the nature has its skin, fur, cover or shell.
Aesthetics play a roll as bridge in the slide of reality and its projected form, us and outer visible form of this universe.
All that we can perceive is aesthetics, a transitional zone of outer shell of reality.
Actual reality we will only come to know in hereafter, as this world is mare test run of absolute reality of us.

Not really, I would recommend reading up on the British Empiricists from Locke, Berkley and Hume through to Russell and Ayer. That or look them up on Wikipedia.

In answer to your question I feel the answer is no, but I do recommend the 'Holographic universe' by Michael Talbot. This helps explain a lot of things.

why would you even question 'reality'? are you in some kind of comic book or a tv show? or do you live in the future or are you from outer space? or do you live in a heaven called a fairy tale?
