If you mean in Time Square, my bet is that it will be the safest place on the planet LOL. But any would-be terrorist wouldn't be focussing on the very place that he knew all the security would be focussed. He - or I should say They - would be planning to target somewhere else that would be even more devastating. It isn't the body count at one time that does the most destruction. It is a successful attack on the very infrastructure of that Society as a whole - something that would tear that whole country's core "organs of function" apart, Hopefully the local authorities will adequately be prepared to deal with Time Square. But I am hoping way more from our more universal protective bodies when it comes to those other targets I am referring to.

The cold truth is the total security is not possible. Not even in a total police state that is devoid of any civil rights what so ever.

It's sad that we've been sold a false bill of goods that by relinquishing our freedom we can become more secure. Freedom and openness is what the American Experience is all about.

Ben Franklin put it best: "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security."

Do not forget that the red in our glorious flag stands for the blood that is shed for the American way of life. Not just the blood already shed but the blood yet to be shed. And not just the blood shed by our military brothers and sisters in the Profession of Arms, but blood shed by ordinary Americans as well.

Don't let the bastards that want to destroy our way of life get their way! Stand up and be proud for who we are and what our way of llife TRULY is!

You mean at Times Square and other public places? Nobody knows how extensive the security really is, but I highly doubt terrorists will stage an attack on this New Year's Eve. They tried during the millennium and failed, but there's nothing really significant about this one. But who knows? I hope I'm right.
