Why would a god that made people make other people to test them? If he did, and they failed the test, what then? Remake them? So far that doesn't seem to have happened.
So much gobbledygook to explain the idiocy of the original cave dwellers' conception of their origins.

Yes, and like with all humans, a homosexual has to care about the speck in his eye as well.

Good question. As Christians, we are always challenged -- even tested -- to love the sinner while not loving the sin. This goes for theft, lying, and homosexuality, among other things.
It distresses me when Christians don't extend this "love the sinner" idea toward people who engage in homosexual conduct.
We are called to treat all people with dignity and respect -- even if we don't approve of the lifestyle choices they make.

For that matter anything could be a test from God. The death of a child is often cited by Christians as a 'test of faith'. I personally would fail that one.
Then, my world view is scientific. Homosexually is either genetic or early environment, or both.

Christians should be kind, but should not accept homosexuality. And, no, I don't believe that that is why God put them here. I don't believe they were born like that... that was a choice that they made. Why would God say it's wrong and then make people that way? That would be setting them up for failure. He wouldn't do that.

Yes. And I say that as a serious Christian who opposes homosexuality and gay marriage. Most Christians I know treat gays with only the utmost respect. Gays are children of God just as much as the rest of us and should be treated with the dignity that we expect from them. To be clear this doesn't mean that we should dump our core beliefs about the family and human sexuality (homosexuality is a sin and marriage is only between a man and a woman)--but it definately means that we should treat a fellow sinner with respect.

could be I suppose. However I think that homosexuality is simply genetics and has always been a part of human life. Those in the past, especially biblical days, did not understand why someone would be attracted to the same sex. Often we ridicule, and/or demonize that which we dont understand.

I think your question is flawed in several ways, not the least of which being that homosexuality is not a "concept" any more than brunette is a concept or tall is a concept.
Secondly, one has to believe that god is a thinking, conniving, calculating being in order to subscribe to the parameters of your question. I don't, so I'm out.

I don't think this is why homosexuals are here. That would be way too cruel. But you're right that this is another test of how well we are following our Lord. Once you know your own heart, it's really hard to comdemn others!

Homosexuality is just one type of the many sins that there are. Homosexuality is equally as bad as stealing, murdering, lying commiting adultery etc... All sins are equally as bad.
If we show symphathy towards homosexuals, then we should do the same to murderers and thieves and lyers and adulterers etc..
