As a lifetime low-carber and strong advocate who lost 70 lbs. several years ago I have to recommend that you choose another eating plan to lose weight. Low-carbing isn't a quick weight-loss choice that can be abandoned once the weight is lost. It's a long-term commitment. When you go on low-carb, Atkins to be specific, your body changes from burning carbohydrates for energy to burning fat, the reason we need those higher levels of saturated fat and why they are healthy for us. It takes two weeks of induction for this to happen. Once you go off the eating plan and return to high carb eating you'll just gain the weight right back and possibly even more.
What I would suggest is that you cut back on carbs, eliminating things like white flour and sugar. Continue eating some of the higher glycemic produce so you don't go into lipolosys. That way you'll safely lose the weight and probably won't gain it right back.
BTW... The reason people talk about losing weight so fast on low-carb and having no energy is because they don't eat the required 3-4 cups of vegetables per day. Once they've lost the weight they return to what they were eating and wonder why they gained the weight back. How do they think they got overweight in the first place?
Good luck to you. I know some people scoff at having only 5 lbs. to lose but 5 can be as tough as 50.

Cardio is always a good bet. But if you are gonna eat low carb, just read the labels. But take into consideration that most food labels are for a single serving, and there may be multiple servings per container. Anything hi in sugar is bad, considering sugars are carbs.
Saty away from pops. Try drinking water, and if thay are to blahse try flavored waters.
The legnth of time varies from person to person, I notice i lose about 1-2 pounds just sleeping, so that is almost half way there, but then through out the day i gain brcause i eat a lot.

Also look minto negative calorie foods if you want to do it in a hurry. These are foods that burn more calories by eating and digesting then are actually in the food. But they will fill you up as well.
I also like to chew on ice, your body burns calories warming back up, & by digesting the water. plus there are no nutritional values in it.

Many people ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").
The Hoodia sold at http://tinyurl.com/y389on is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). Fantastic results have been seen with this particular Hoodia.

Lean meat (try to avoid fried and high in salt), poultry, fish (baked, steamed, cooked), some vegetables (cucumber, cauliflower, lettuce, cabbage approximately 2-3 cups) with a hint of olive oil and some freshly squeezed lemon juice. If yo stick to this, 5 pounds should melt in 7 to 10 days. Drink a lot of water, avoid sugared and sparkling drinks and caffeine, and avoid alcohol too.
