It is hard to put my explorer in park. I have to push my brake all the way to the floor when I want to put it in park. It is like something is catching. anyone know what the problem maybe
I know u always have to hold ur break to change gears but I have to put so much pressure on my break to get the truck to go into park position

this is really weird but try spraying some lubricant on your gear selector lever under your vehicle.

Sounds like the shift linkage is binding or bent. Have the transmission linkage checked for damage. And no you shouldn't have to jam the brake pedal to the floor to put it in park nor do the same thing to get it out of park. You should barely have to press on the brake to do either, the interlock is electrical so very little pressure should be required to put the vehicle into or out of gear.

Sounds like the interlock linkage is damaged.
