Been dating a guy a bit for a few months. We have both been out of town alot over the past month and a half. We both left town at the same time for the holidays and I thought he was coming back around the same time. I have not heard from him. Up until the time that we left, everything was fine and we had seen each other a few days before and he called the night before to say bye etc. I sent him an e-mail asking him to give me a ring when he returns but no response. This is really not like him but I am starting to worry a bit. I am thinking that he may have stayed on his trip longer than planned. Am I over reacting?

Well if he's not, you are.

Doen't he have a mobile? There's always the risk of getting too paranoid and causing trouble as a result of it. However, it is strange that he hasn't found some way of contacting you to explain why he's not back yet - at the least it would mean that you wouldn't have to worry. Maybe you could contact his friends or family as they might know something. Don't go over-the-top at the present time but I can understand why a lot of things would be going through your mind. See how it develops. It will be interesting to see how he reacts when you ask him why he didn't contact you - you take it from there.

How long haven't you heard from him? This part isn't clear to me.
Actually, you have to think back on your last words before you both left town, like future plans---ie, "I'll call you when I get back", or, "see you after the Holiday", etc.

I'd give it more time, ok? I'm thinking maybe your BF wants to surprise you with a return! Don't give up yet!

Let him call you, no matter what, ok? Don't do it first! This will keep him wondering too, and if he IS wondering ENOUGH, he will contact you eventually!

"Absense makes the HEART "GROW FONDER!!!!"""

Keep HIM wondering!!!!!!!

Yeah you're over reacting. Just wait until he's expected to be back at work. If he doesn't call you over the next few days....move on.

I would give it some time, not sure asking for a ring was such a great idea....don't wait by the phone, go one with your life. He will give you aring when he wants to....don't do that again...he is probably just a little scared...good luck.

Go with and trust your instincts and your own self. How much do you trust this guy? How faithful has he been? Ask yourself these questions. Chances are you know the situation better, alot better, than we do if you listen to yourself.

Just try to keep your cool until you hear from him. I myself have been in situations where I've overreacted and made things worse. Do something JUST FOR YOU. Chill. Good Luck.

You said it, you are over reacting!!! Don't push him, everything has its time, if he is not yet ready, all you are doing is scaring him off.
