Since you've defrosted the TV dinner in the refrigerator overnight, it's best to eat it soon.
If you wanted it the TV dinner for next week, don't refreeze the one you have. Just buy another one and eat the defrosted one within 2 or 3 days.
The cooking time will be shorter since it's defrosted.
Knock about 2 minutes off if you microwave the dinner is a good rule of thumb. But check that everything is heated thoroughly, as usual.

If it was cooked first, and put in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking, you have up to a week to reheat and eat it. I took cooking safety course. This is for most foods that have been properly been cooked and not touched by your bare hands. It could still be frozen enough to put back in the freezer. Did you check to see? You can still cook it just modify the time.

Late entry...My heart goes out to you for even being faced with that decision but I believe you did the right thing, despite any pressure from the medical community. While knowing nothing of your relationship with your father...your father was the person who hugged you, kissed you on the head, chased the monsters away, and cheered you in your efforts. The person lying in the hospital bed was a shell of that person. I pray that I am never faced with that decision but know that pulling the plug would be the right thing to do and I would not permit my loved one to continue in a vegetative state. That is NOT living. (((Toke))) Hope all is well with you. Peace, Bill

After just one night...I'm sure it would be just fine. They put so many preservatives in those things it's shelf life (even if it's the refridgerator) is probably a scary number.

cook it up and eat soon, before it has a chance to spoil, it should be ok at the present time.
