just admit that its for myspace
(just kidding)
you have several options
a. tilt the camera so its at an angle so its not in the reflection, and the flash might hit a wall or something and reflect making things brighter, that might, just might, work
b.add more lights in the room
c. use a brighter room with a mirror
d. must it be a mirror picture? if not, have a friend or family member take the picture of you for you

Many things can do.
1.if it is a camera with built in flash, redirect the light with a white thick paper stick on the side of the flash to a white wall or thermocol piece. So you will get illuminated with the flash light reflected from thw wall or any thing else.
Be sure the mirror will be VERY clean. You can clean it with a wet & then dry news paper is easier.
2. if it is a SLR camera or attachable flash, you can bounce the flash somewhere like I said above.
3.take the mirror outside and take your snap.If you really want to get a interior back ground, arrange the background like that outside.
4. Fix your camera somewhere,on a tripod or fix with clothes and pillows.Be at a brighter place in your room and point and fix the camera there, use the self timer to take a pic.
5.And many other ways....if you are not satisfied in this answer ....just make me a mail

Increase the light in the room by adding more lamps with higher wattage bulbs. Also you could take the mirror outside on a sunny day and take the picture that way with the mirror strategically positioned to get a good light.

dont ever use flash light, that will always show back the reflect if u take it in front of the mirror, try to increase the light, lower shutter speed, and lower diafragma, increase the iso and maybe EV+++, then u cant use it w/out the flashlight and u can have the picture that u want, never see the flashligt reflect again

Take the image on an identical time as on an perspective. in case you seem at as quickly as into the reflect and take the image, the flash reflects promptly back to you. attempt a 25 degree perspective, you will nevertheless see particularly flash, however the traditional public of it is going to reflect back into the room, no longer at as quickly as at you, yet will nevertheless furnish sufficient gentle for the image.

opening the apreture and a longer exp. might work if you use a lighter flash, but it can't be adjusted in some cameras...
