Because some of them are children. I know that there are lots of 12 to 16 year olds -- I often answer their questions, and try to talk sense into them. Some people have no consideration for others' feelings, while others -- particularly when it comes to matters of appearance -- are too politically correct for their own good.
For example, I recently answered a question from a 13 year old girl who said she's 5'5" and 185 lbs. That's 35 lbs overweight, and even 150 lbs would be kinda chubby. When I mentioned that, and my experiences dating a girl about that heavy (probably heavier) as a teenager, I got two thumbs down. I was not insulting her, I was being honest.
Other times, I see guys ask if their penises are big enough. Usually they're about average, 5" or 6." And people make comments like "You poor thing!" or "Tiny!" or something like that. It's not like they can help it! And they are rarely weird sizes too!
Another time I saw a woman who was a virgin about to get married ask what her first time would be like. You wouldn't believe the hateful responses she got. People are just frustrating sometimes. Have a nice day!

Because they are insecure about themselves, so knocking someone else down helps them feel better. I had friend like this in highschool. She was one of my best friends, and she was never mean to me, but she made fun of every other person in school. She would tell people they are fat and need to lose weight, and that their pimples are sick and need to get face stuff, or whatever. And when we were hanging out together she would always complain to me about her skin and her weight. So i know that is why SHE did it, i assume a lot of other people do it for the same reason. Just try to be the bigger person, as you are doing, and let it roll off your shoulder. There will be people like this EVERYWHERE. I work with 2 other women now who are the same way.

People say and do mean things because they're unhappy with themselves, their lives, their choices. Face it, if I had more money than Donald Trump, I would be in a good mood and not be so mean spirited. As life rolls on, you learn to accept people as they are, even the difficult ones, doesn't mean you got to like them. You're not alone, and I am sure I annoy the pants off of some people, I'm no saint. Life and people are just that way, makes you really appreciate the nice ones. Anyhow, I hope you have a Happy New Years, chow.

Usually people that make fun of other people have confidence issues of their own, so they try to point out the flaws in other people. Somehow they think it makes them look better. At least, this has been my experience with it.

haha... i understand alot of human beings that does that. each so often, this is strong inspite of the indisputable fact that because if someone tells you something you frequently try this looks extraordinary, they are going to ask, why you frequently try this? and also you adjust that extraordinary. yet in extreme college, I used to easily communicate and communicate, my perfect pal used to inquire from me, "you're saying something you want, you do not even do not ignore that you saying hurtful issues to human beings". So, after that, i finished doing that. i imagine earlier I communicate so I received't damage each person's emotions. So, you should merely tell your pal that she is saying issues that could damage different's emotions.

People that insult others are insecure about themselves---they want to get the other person to feel bad.
That is the most screwed up thing to do--
DON'T start insulting that girl---she knows exactly what she looks like, that's why she's saying that crap.

For some people, instead of building themselves up, internally with self confidence and becoming comfortable with themselves and what they feel are their own personal inadequacies, they try to tear people down.
By doing this they try to bring others around them down to their own level so they can feel comfortable with everything they dislike about their own personal self.

sometimes the only way people can think good about themselves is to put others down this could be the case and maybe you could set an example by saying nice things about everyone and also her.

Yeah, kids are immature when they are young and I guess it makes them feel better when they make fun of other people, then they arent the wierd one, somehow they become normal when they call someone else wierd. Punch them in the face or just laugh at them, your call.
