no they just have different foundational beliefs so to speak....they are quite similar but for instance...a pentecostal would not pray to Mary and would not pray to others ...we only pray to God through Jesus....we don't have the rituals that the catholics have....we believe in the 5 fold ministry and in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit , most speak in tongues and have received the Baptism ....we have Holy Communion too.....it would be a vast difference come times of worship and preaching in services.....we are more free in our services and that may be a hindrance to one who is used to the catholic service.....I have been in both...my mother was catholic.....and I could not go back to that way of worship now...but to each his own.

Pentecostal can be holy rollers. They can get pretty loud and are very vocal with amen, praise God, etc. Catholic on the other hand, are very ritualistic. You have to be Catholic to accept Communion, and drink the blood of Christ. There is more to Cat holism then being Pentecostal. The two would have to decide which way they want to go. Just because they get married doesn't mean they have to give up the beliefs. However, if they have kids, then they need to decide.

Romans 8 sttates God makes use of all issues for sturdy. Denominations come, lamentably, from human beings believing their way on my own is larger/maximum suitable. rather, each and each shares a slice of the fact. God stored his area of the coolest deal in that the varied denominations now greater healthful the varied tastes of the varied believers - some thing like testing the rather some bottled waters. maximum churches have self assurance contained in the Lord as I rejoice you do. maximum will additionally declare to carry on with the Bible. come across a church the place you're delicate - in view it quite is the only you will attend in many situations.

Pentecostals believe in speaking in gibberish and calling it the bible tongues, they believe in faith healing, Miracles and modern day revelation.

Most, not all, but most Pentecostals I know are a pain in the neck because they beleive their will is God's will and will do anything to force you to accept their will.

I was engaged to a Catholic girl once 36 years ago and had to break it off because she could not marry me unless I became a Catholic and vowed to raise our children as Catholics.

Pentecostals don't believe in girls wearing jeans or makeup. They wear skirts and dress very low-key, they also believe in the gift of tongues by holy baptism. My friend is pentecostal and she says is a very demanding religion. Catholics have different set of beliefs and ways of worshipping. We go to church every Sunday, days of obligation, have saints, use rosaries, baptize infants, and don't believe in the gifts of tongues.

IT is not necessary that either of them switch however it would be useful for both of them to attend counselling and BIBLE STUDY to find out why the other is not "of their faith". The Catholic priest will probably require some counseling to take place before he marries them. Have a great day.

no! there is verses in the bible that says like this: 1Co 7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
1Co 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
1Co 7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
1Co 7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
1Co 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
1Co 7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
1Co 7:13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

It is clear here that the person who has husband/wife that do not believe as same as he/she did. he/she dont have to force him/her to leave his/her faith. But I suggest if you realized that your previous faith is wrong go to the correct one because there is only one true religion.

They aren't religions...they're branches of christianity! Pentecostal is just more lively and modern...Catholicism is more traditional
