I am no Betty Crocker here. I bought a ham, the rump, and I have never cooked one before. It was partially cooked when I bought it. I found a recipe that called for 325 degrees for about 2 hours or when the thermometer reached a certain degree. I do not have a meat thermometer, so how can I be sure it is really done?

Most hams are fully cooked when you get them. The directions on the arapper are for heating purposes. 2 hrs. for half a ham is MORE than enough time. You can dot with whole cloves(just push them into the ham about inch or so apart...fat part) lay pineapple rings over(secure with toothpick if needed to keep from falling off) and take the juice from the pineapple and boil it in a pot with about 3/4 cup brown sugar. boil till thickened and "Glaze" ham with this the last 20 minutes it is in the oven. let cool and enjoy. Can pull cloves and pineapple off before slicing. The pineapple is delicious to eat too.

You really should use a meat thermometer. But you don't have one so the next best thing is to go with the directions... 2 hours.

But I'd use brown sugar, clove, pineapple juice, and pineapple rings...

350 degrees - 20 minutes per pound. Pour coke over it or put pineapple rings (with juice) over it. Wrap tightly with foil.
