what is the best sweet and sour sauce to use on sliced hot dogs. i had these a long time and there normally made like over x-mas and new years. i do know there was no chunks in to. they were great to eat but cant find the sauce. I do remember my mom making them when i was younger but the places she used to buy the. sauce at hasnt been around for a long time if someone could help me out. I have looked in the chinese section in the grocery store but nothing comes close to what im looking for. i was planning on making them for to night but dont have the sauce. hopefully someone knows what im talking about. and thanks to anyone that help me

1/4 cup sugar(more or less to taste), 2 Tbl. soy sauce, 2 Tbl. corn starch(to thicken) 1/2 cup pineapple juice, 1/4 cup vinegar. Simmer till thickened. May want to triple or more as this doesn't make too much.

We made these last night.

1 package of cocktail weenies

1 bottle of BBQ sauce of your choice

1/4 jar of grape jelly

Mix togather in a Crock Pot and heat untill warm.

They were yummy.
