Walking is about 100 cal per mile walked (or run for that matter). If you walk 5 miles you'd burn about 500 cal. If you are a bit heavier, the cal count may be a bit higher, but not significantly so.

It's very hard to know just by that info cause people's body constitution varies.. You really should see a trainer or a nutricionist but you would probably burn around 500 calories

A good rule of thumb is 100 calories per mile traveled (walking, jogging, or running).

I have the exact same measurements as you. I track my exercise on a website (www.sparkpeople.com) and if you walked about 17 mph you'll burn about 385 calories. Good luck!

i know this almost igzactlyy..
For your height and weight of 160 you burn almost igzactly 500 calires with 5 miles.
every week youll lose a pound of pure fat. with dieting also.
