Testosterone levels are increased (which increases libido), and if you're in a gym with the opposite gender, you'll be picking up pheromones that are excreted in the sweat (and levels are thought to be higher in more fit individuals).

Alblaw is more accurate. Working out raises the level of testosterone. Testosterone is what increases the libido. Doctors will sometime prescribe testosterone drugs to many women with a low libido. Though, the disadvantage to that is more hair and other minor male character traits, though sometimes, insignificant to notice.

Blood vessels throughout your body expand when you work out. Viagra does the same thing only without the workout. Thats why they say to take a cold shower to cure the hardon

You ask why, not what to do about it. You are horny because you are healthy, and that's what Mother Nature wants the strongest and healthiest to be: reproducing.
