My feather touch phone does not have hangup button.how dial tone comes when taking receiver?

the recevier is ordinary as the normal phone.and the dial tone cut when we put the recevier in its position. normal cord phone

There is probably a sensor (inductive proximity switch that detects a piece of metal in the handset) that is activated when you place the handset back on its holder. It is cheaper and easier for the manufacturer than putting a pushable switch in their phone.
