I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

There really is no way to target areas on your body for weight loss. I have read that high calcium foods help and also a low fat diet. Weight training has helped me and I attend Weight Watchers meetings every week. No matter how much abdominal work you do, if you don't lose fat overall, you won't see much of a change. You will feel better about yourself and be able to do more with a lot more energy!

Your asking about "spot reduction" in weight loss. Regardless of what the infomercials on Saturday morning tell you, this is not possible. You cannot, for example, do nothing but sit-ups and expect to loose fat only off your midsection. Sure, you may loose fat overall because of the increase in exercise, assuming you're not taking in more calories than burning, but your body will basically take the fat off in the order that it was put on. So doing those sit ups will take the fat off your butt, your neck, your shoulders, where ever....

For men, they generally start putting fat on in the gut; for women, in the hips. And it's generally these areas that are the last place for it to come off. Did you ever see a guy with six-pack abs and a fat butt? Or a woman with "buns of steel" and fat ankles?

To answer your question more directly, you loose fat anywhere in your body through the same process: diet and exercise. However we don't have the luxury of choosing where it will come off.

Hi. I recommend the South Beach Diet. I lost 25 pounds in about 3 months, and ate like a king. It helps if you can cook, because they have great recipies. If you can combine this diet with some moderate exercise 3 days a week, you will list the pounds off your midsection first, and the rest will follow. Do not cheat, and enjoy some of their recipies - especially for breakfast. You can do this. Go get one of their books today, and get some of the foods. Start tomorrow. Good luck and happy new year!

Try cutting your calories and running. After you run do an intense ab work out. For your arms I would use a 2-5 lb weight while doing aerobic and the weight should just melt off.

Exercise. Exercise.
Quit eating dairy, fried foods, meat.
Stick to high protein foods (tofu, beans), vegetables and fruit with lots of brown rice. You can lose the weight in 2 weeks. No problem.

when your body gets to a point it may not let you lose any more weight. you may be where you are suppose to be and you just need to firm and shape what you have. exercise and palates is a good one. sorry my spelling stinks. and when you start to work on firming up you will gain a few pounds but that will be muscle. then you will lose inches. that is good. good luck
