Pretty simple, your biggest decision will be the kind of system you buy. Make sure that whatever you buy is sheilded, so that it doesn't affect your computer magnetically. The hookup is a breeze, it's as simple as plugging into your audio port. There is a wide range of systems available out there, including subwoofers and everything else you can dream of. Good Luck.

If you have an outlet from your sound card you should be able to use the two speaker set. The surround sound requires quite a bit of power and consists of 5 speakers, a control and a huge amp. I have that on this computer and when I bought a newer one I opted for the two speaker stereo set up as it just isn't worth the extra money to me. Ron

Go to Radio Shak and get the adapter that goes from the headset plug in into RCAs. Then you can just hook your audio up into any stereo with RCA jacks.
