If it's a standard DVD player and an AV receiver the you would simply plug the red white and yellow RCA cables from the outline of the DVD player and plug them into an empty input that has video support on the receiver (input may be labeled: DVD or LD) Then you have the outline for video on the receiver run to the input on the TV
