gargle with salt water. the salt should soften it up and make it easier to get out. If it doesn't work, take him to the Dr.

When you get stuff stuck in your teeth, salt water dislodges it, so hopefully this will do the same thing.

I recommend taking the child to the doctor - or emergency department. Even though it is not an emergency right now, it could be disloged and cause breathing difficulty.

Since it has been there for five days it may not even be the original kernel. You may think you see a popcorn kernal by looking in the back of his throat but you may be seeing a soft tissue injury caused by the popcorn kernal or something else.

The only way to be safe and sure is to go to the doctor.

Any foreign body lodged in the back of the throat can be serious.Possible aspiration into the lungs is a danger.Having it there for several days is troublesome. You might take him to the ER and have it checked out,or at least call and get their opinion. SW RNP

Have him eat a couple of pieces of bread. The bread will catch the corn and push it down. Or, SEE A DOCTOR!

Is it from popcorn? See if he can scrape it with his toothbrush. The drier the mouth is, the better chance you have of getting it out. Have you tried getting him to vomit? Tell him to relax, it will unlodge itself eventually.
