"they" say three days for leftovers, but if ham is bad it will smell funky and be a little sticky. It really should be fine for about a week

Well that Ham would last about 5 hours in my friends Benny's house. About 4 days in my parents house, 5 days if they're out of mustard. My parents now got a bunch of illegals living next to them and I suspect that ham would last about 3 hours in that house. Now if you got a dog that likes ham chunks then you got to subtract about 50 minutes. I hope this helps Happy New year!

3 or 4 days in the refrigerator would be safe. I would freeze whatever isn't eaten in 3 days since those hams are pricey.

It is ok to eat it or now. Keep it in the fridge. If in the fridge, cook it TODAY. If you put it in the freezer, you can keep it for 1 more week. To make sure you are safe, i would re-cook it and eat it within the next two days.

we always cube up our leftover Hams and put them in with beans into the crockpot, ( Like Lima's, or northern white beans)
for New Years day.

I would not eat leftovers more than 3 days after they were prepared... probably not a good idea if it were not properly stored either !
