I agree, a search would be your best bet. (see link below) The "Holy Grail" has been written about in several works and you would need to refer to which instance you are talking about. As for lead poisoning in Roman era, there is another link. It's a possibility it was made of lead, and the lead poisoning in Roman times was highly probable. Then again, just how many people drank repeatedly from the grail?

Health risks in the past are common. It's said that the reason many people died (too young) of heart conditions (blood pressure - coronary problems) in the past was directly related to the curing of meats with salt. We know today that ingesting too much salt can lead to health problems.

Lead cups were only one reason for poisoning, another were lead tubes.
Why do you think the holy grail might have been made of lead? Has ever anyone been poisoned by the grail? If you ask me, the grail is but a myth that exprsses what cannot be expressed.

heavily doubt the Holy Grail became made out of lead or lead coated. there could have been different components used had the Holy Grail been an actually merchandise -- which in my opinion I doubt.

No one knows. Drinking vessels were made of a number of things such as brass, tin, copper, terracotta, ceramic terracotta, and yes, lead. But who knows what so-called holy grail was made of.

No-one knows exactly what the grail is, let alone what it was made of... with the exception of whoever is supposed to have it.

Lead cups, lead pipes-they even added lead to wine to sweeten it. That's why they adopted Christianity-they were all mad with lead poisoning.
