Does anyone know what year the borough of Queens N.Y.changed from street names to numbered streets?

I'm not sure. I live in Queens. Some streets still have names, like those in Forest Hills Gardens. Others have numbers. And then there's the whole "Avenue, Street, Drive, Road" thing going on.
