There's a mission trip I'd like to go on with church, but can't afford to. My boyfriend told me today that he'd be willing to help me by paying for part of the trip. He said he has the money, but doesn't want to go, so thinks it would be better if I went since it's on my heart to go. Is this the Lord's way of providing for me or is this not a good idea?

As long as he doesn't make you feel like you owe him something for it, consider it a charitable act on his behalf and God's way of providing you the opportunity.

I think you life is hectic. Owning a dog and taking care of kids is hard. I have a 1 yr old and while I was caring for my then infant I was also training my sister's dog (she's 15). I was against her having a puppy because I knew with her being a teenager she wouldn't have time for it. When your in your teens your life is consume with school, (test, research, papers, etc.), work (if your doing part time), clubs, and hanging out with friends. Trust me there is little time for training and housebreaking. I use to ask my mother "if my sister doesn't take care of the dog will you"? Her answer was always no. I know you want a dog bad, but maybe it's best you wait until your more settle. I wanted a dog when I was in my teens. I got it and even though I always walk and feed it and cared for it. I still didn't have much time to train it. In the end my mother took it back to the rescue because she fear it would become a liability. By the way, after fully housebreaking and training my sister dog, I returned her pup. She rarely takes the dog on walks, she just lets the dog go all over the backyard and doesn't pick it up. She didn't keep up with the training so the dog doesn't listen to hers, except to come. He pees in the house because he's bored or isn't walked enough. He barks a lot. I take him to the dog park when I take my dog, I bought the only leash and collar the dog has, and I groom him after the park. I don't even live in the same home as my sister. Funny thing though he's fine in my home. The lesson: it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes you need the same for a dog.
