My daughter is pregnant with...?

I'm a mother of 3 kids,2 girls and a boy.The oldest girl is 12.In summer she was raped and unfortunately she got pregnant.We spoke to the doctor and he says it's more dangerous if she aborts the baby and she would better give birth.Now(she is in 6th month) we found out that she is having quadruplets!That's 4 babies!My daughter didn't want to save the baby and wanted to give him/her for adoption but when she heard they are 4(it was like her best luck in the world),she decided to keep them.That means 7 children in the family(including her).I agreed because after the trauma of rapind,she has the right to decide what to do with the babies.Now (in 6th month) her belly is bigger than mine in 9th month.She has great difficulty moving and doing anything.How can I help her physically and how can I prepare her for the 4 babies?

For anyone with twins or more there r usually support groups with other parents that r also having or already have had Twins,triplets etc.I'm not sure where u r so if you call the pediatrician ,(baby doctor) she sees and ask her for numbers of support groups as well as some parenting courses for she is very young.You should consider some counselling for having that many children at such a young age can also be very traumatizing for the depression that can come before and after the babies on top of that how they where conceived.She has a lot of guts to go through with this and a very big decision for such a young person.Because of the man her life has been taken away and will and is changing drastically find all the support u can for her.Know that you .This is such a hit n miss situation n the way things could turn out might be scary,I mean when she looks at these children it will always remind her of what happen n also what to tell them when they ask for daddy.Anyway I hope it works out for u and your family you have a long road ahead of u and so far seem to be handling it but get some extra help cuz it's there for a reason cuz even older women r seeking help all around the world when it comes to having more then 1 child at a time .I hope you have a better NEW YEAR and I will pray for your family that all works out n u get the help u need.

I am sorry that this situation has occurred in your family because of an unfortunate rape. I hope that she is getting all of the prenatal care that she needs, and seeking some sort of counselling because emotionally this is going to wreck her. Every time she sees these babies she is going to be reminded of the rape. I hope that doesn't effect how she treats them.
For her do what the doctor tells you, and seek help from any type of agency around. It is going to be difficult with 4 babies and a total of 7 kids. The oldest one being 12. I hope you are religious, because I think that you may be doing a lot of praying. Also if you are then your local religious organization would be able to help you out.

I hope that all of the babies are healthy and your daughter doesn't have any complications because of this. I am sorry that this happened.

omg that is insane.. wow so much to deal with - she really shouldnt be keeping 4 kids - I mean its hard to say all will survive but if they do... thats insane, no way she can finanically or emotionally support 4 kids at that age.. it cannot be done
I am shocked the doctore encouraged her to go through with the pregnacy I have never heard such a thing.. I suspect the doctor was not being honest when he said abortoin would be harder on her.. that is insane and I would sue for malpractice..
4 babies is not like the best luck in the world.. its more like the worst
sorry to say but this isnt a good thing... its a lifetime commitment for 4 lives.. I would take her to a counciler and have them discuss reality with her.. the babies will be far better off given for adoption
your daughter should not sacrifice her life for this...

I'm sorry about your daughter, but there's not much you can do.I really think she should put the children up for adoption.At 12 she can't handle 1 much less 4.She has plenty of time to be a good mother when shes older.Like I said there really isn't much she can do.At 12 her body isn't ready to have children not 1 much less 4 so it will hard for her to do anything.There is no way to prepare her for 4 babies either.Just don't let her sleep so shes used to going without sleep.Good Luck and i hope everything works out OK.

Thats really sad. I would think it would be worse for her to carry a baby at 12 then have an abortion. I dont agree with them always, but I would think to carry 4 babies at 12 would be dangerous.But since she is, I hope that you realize that you will be taking care of these babies. Maybe adoption is the best answer for you guys. But it would be horrible for the babies to be broken up. I would hope financially you are ok. What kind of doctor did you take her to? In cases like this, she would of been able to get the abortion pill with no prob. After the rape did you take her to the ER?? If so they offer the pill right then and there after they do the rape kit. Not to sound rude or anything but I think that the doctor was telling you this so she would not have a abortion. It is much safer for her to of gotten the pill then to give birth, especially when she is so young. She is not old enough to be a mother. She is a child. You might just want to ask a doctor about her moving around better.

I'm sorry that you and your daughter had to go through something so horrible like that. I would say to do your best at being there for her and I don't think there is a way to prepare someone to have 4babies but if you believe in God, I would pray about it. Also, you should try to get some benefits from the state like foodstamps because that would really help you out a lot. This is a really unfortunate situation i"m not a professional anything but maybe she should seek some counseling to make sure that this is what she really wants to do. Babies are really cute in the beginning but as they get older they become more difficult. She also needs to realize that she still needs to get a good education so she can take care of those babies.

Wow, the likelyhood of anyone having a successful pregnancy with quads is rare, much less a 12yr old. You might want to contact the Guiness book of World Records (seriously). Maybe they reward with some money.

It's too far for an abortion. Partial birth wouldn't be successful with quads anyway.

Have you concidered adoption? Is she on bed rest? Have you gotten a second job? the cost of 4 babies is going to be enourmous.

lilred what a nasty thing to say to some one and i hope it never happens to some 1 in your family. But it did says something right your are really gonna have your work cut out with 5 baby's with in a few months of each other haven't u got any other family members to come and stay and help with the baby's i feel for your daughter and hope everything goes OK for her in the future and hope shes gets all the help shes needs to deal with the babys and the rape
