Why do parents curse their own children?

Why do my parents curses us and tell us to go and die when we did not do as we were told - even small minute things. Just seconds ago, my mother called my younger sister to watch the countdown. When my sister did not, she became very angry and tell her to go and die??? Where got this type of parent one???

she probably has alot on her mind but that still don't give her the right to curse at her children. just ignore it. she will cool down.

That is not the response a normal parent would give; perhaps your mother is suffering some sort of mental illness or is just stupid and self-centered. Regardless of why, don't allow her to talk to you that way, be respectful, but firm in telling her that is not an appropriate thing for a parent to say to their child and how much it hurts you. How would she feel if you really did die? Would she like it if you told her you wished she would die?

If may take 10, 50 a hundred times or so, but it should eventually sink in.

It's called stress. Children are are the things we all were. Once you put a mother in cleaning, cooking and not doing what shes tells you she gets annoyed. Relax her tell her you love her. Give her a nice rest of relaxation. Some other mothers are like that you know.

Do you have anyone that you can call like family or someone and tell them this? This is called mental abuse and there is a law against this. Your mother needs help. No normal parents talk to their kids like this. If you don't have anyone to call then call the police and tell them whats going on. Do they also hit you? Sometimes if people have a drinking problem or drug problem they behave this way too. I hope you find someone to help you.

Telling your kids to go die...not good. However..parents do curse their children by saying, "I hope you have kids just like you someday." And...you do. Then when you get much older you realize that grandchildren are your reward for not killing your kids. That's where you get even. Fill 'em with sugar and send them home. :)

most of the time parents don't mean the bad things that they say to their children.
they just curse them and talk in an unapropriate way because they are nervous.
