I really thought this guy liked me but now i dont know if it was in my head or not. As it was all the usual signs showing an interest, remembering things, answering questions with questions, subtle hints, agreeing alot with what i said, over helpful with work but im starting to think he didnt like me as he gets on better iwth the flirty types even though hes shy like me and ive been on two xmas dos and he hasnt made much effort to come over to talk to me. If he isnt interested why do i feel this tension from him ie awkwardness/uncomfortable feeling from him

Sometimes we pick up signals that just aren't there.
Its no ones fault, just one of those things that happens!
I've got a friend, and he is forever giving out signals like this to me, luckily we are open, so I ask him about them - and he has no clue that he's giving off that vibe! It would appear that we are having two completely difference conversations some of the time.
All you can do is ask someone if they like you - it can be very hard to judge what are genuine signals, and what is being hopeful.
Hope you get answers :)

These aren't guy signals.....learn to read men Hun....I do that with most people with girls I like I try and use lots of physical contact...compliments and longing looks....If he's shy then he's bound to be that way around most people...with the girl he likes I think he will come out of his shell a bit yet remain distant...just so he doesn't get hurt....

You just said it he's shy he doesn't have to do a lot of work with flirty types.Ask him out for a drink to celebrate new year.He won't say no if you get on with him.
