Religion is a personal thing. Only you can know what is the right thing for you. You are your own best teacher. Just do what feels right and makes sense to you.

One source. Do they teach, not what THEY THINK the Bible says, but do they allow the Bible to explain itself. When a group is shown a verse, do they say:
"Well, this verse means that . . . . " and proceed to give you their own idea and private interpretation of what the Bible is saying?
or do they say:
"Well, if you turn over to this verse, you find the explanation laid out" and let the Bible do it's own work. Genuine teachings lay within the Bible.
And what mark did Jesus say would bear the sign of the true religion? His true followers, despite the many claims by many groups to be his followers (Matthew 7:22)
They'd be hated (Matthew 10:22 and Matthew 5:11)
They'd show love amongst themselves (John 13:34,35), willing to die for one another.
And they would have serious opposers (Lord, the entire Greek scriptures, but specifically, 2 Peter chapter 2, and the entire book of Jude) who would try to twist everything they say, but would not reply to their opposers, but show the same attitude that Michael the Archangel did in the letter of Jude.

I would tell you to ask the Lord to teach you. Get a Bible, start reading, and then pray the Lord would direct you to the church He would want you to be in. You won't find a perfect church here on earth because churches are made of humans and we're all messed up, but pray the Lord brings you to a church where you can connect with others and grow in your faith.

Try the course in miracles.
No dogma or other nonsense to believe in. Just the straight teachings of Jesus minus all of the nonsense people have tacked on trying to help poor Jesus understand what he should have been saying.
It is vastly different from what we have been lead to believe Jesus was telling us.
The course is Jesus' way of helping us to have a close personal relationship with God just like he did.
Best of all it works
Love and blessings Don

That would be in our own ability to feel the presence of goodness and Mercy. Also the sense of gratitude, and beauty of this great planet. No one religion is right, and the other one wrong. I run, run, run from any organized religion.

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6)
" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)

Look into Buddhism -no dogma or theology. No commandments, deities or illusory afterlife. I looked at every religion and it was the only one which I found credible from an intellectual viewpoint.
