my personal opinion is that at a minimum He should be excomunicated in lines with the processes described in Mat. 18 and letters to Tim.
This whole thou shall not kill thing is trickier than you think, The whole translation would ore closely read do not take the life of an innocent swiftly (without a lot of thought).
As you can seem this means something possibly different.
Treating your neighbor as you would have him treat you I think is the better command.
Clearly it is not always wrong to kill. Jesus when asked what a good soldier should do did not mention what they should not do that was ordered but only those things that were up to his discretion.
A more pertinant question would be could Bush possibly be a Christian and still advocate for torture. My opinion is there is no way he could do that and be a Christian.

There's a big difference between Murder and Killing. The people Saddam murdered were innocent civilians, not combat troops, and he used chemical weapons of mass destruction (nerve agent) to murder them. The US forces in combat operations try extremely hard not to kill anyone that is not trying to kill them. It's called "Rules of Engagement" and is a very strict military code of ethics. Personally, I think there's quite a few people in this world that deserve killing, but I do not believe in murdering those that mean no harm.

You do err not knowing the scripture. The bible says no to murder, not kill. There is a difference. Saddam actin on his own, Bush had allies and the backing of many countries at the time. Quit spreading hate.

I do understand what you are saying. I am not a very political person myself, so I cannot comment on anything political without making myself look stupid. But, in my opinion, I feel like everyone will have to answer for the things they do on earth whether good or bad. And I cannot speak for God. But, I think we must pray for all of our leaders, that they make the right decisions.

Bush removed a tyrant from power. This is war. There's going to be casualties. Alot of people died when Hitler was defeated during WW2. You cant blame the leader's of the Allied nation's for those deaths. You cant blame George Washington for the deaths that occurred during the Revolutionary War. And you cant blame Lincoln for the Civil War casualties.
This is War. It happens unfortunately. Now stop bashing Bush.

it is wrong to incite violence, you cannot say you will not use force or are not willing to fight (look at what happenned in former yugoslavia where our hands were tied due to this).
fighting, war and things like the death sentence should be used as a last resort, i am not the sort to say 'i told you so' and gloat

As much as I dislike President Bush, I don't think you can compare the two. Still, our people should be brought home asap. Saddam was evil and had to go.
