You need to buy a DVD Region x disc,You can get one from HMV it will allow you to play all imported DVD,s they cost about £10.00.

The DVD is either from out of the country, or someone has been messing with your settings on your DVD player. If you are from the US, you are in Region 1. I don't know any of the other regions.

You got a DVD out of country, that is not formatted for where you live.
