hey!
i just started to gauge mine! im only going to a 12 gaufge which is only 2 sizes up form where in at now lool
anyways i have researched nad here is a page to help you!
http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Stretching
anyways you can do it yourself. or you can go to a pierce shop and they will be able to do it for you more easily. they can make you 2 sizes larger in one visit rather than you stretching one size and waiting a month for your ear to heal then going up anothe size.
you will need to wait about month ion between stretches beacuas ehwn you stretch your ear it creates small tears so you need to let them heal so you can go up the next size.
ther is a thing called "a point of no return" where the size will be permanent. i think its at 2g or 0g but it talks about itin that site. also if you stretch do quickly you can cause a "blow out' which isnt pretty lookign and i hear it hurts!!!
but it does get expensie. even though im going up 2 sizes iver spent around 80 bucks yesterday online buying the tools and jewelry! lol
here is a link to where i bought all of my supplies yesterday
http://www.steelnavel.com/body-jewelry/style/tools-tapers-needles/137-stainless-steel-stretching-taper.html
(you use these to slowly stretch you ears)
http://www.steelnavel.com/body-jewelry/style/tools-tapers-needles/1456-piercing-tapers-kit.html
here is the kit of tapers)
you should start out your smaller gauges with captive beads. and when you get the the larger gauges you shoudl use the plugs. although i did buy 2 sets of plugs for when my ears are at 12g lol
right now your ears are most likely a 18g. so buy tapers and buy 16g jewelry...
http://www.steelnavel.com/category.asp?type=PI&id=8&MID=49&q=&NV=0&NM=0&NF=14
(captive bead rings)
http://www.steelnavel.com/category.asp?type=PI&id=8&MID=49&q=&NV=0&NM=0&NF=29
(plugs)
also www.bodyartforms.com is also a good site =)
good luck! wait 1 months in between stretches!
but if you look at my profile i posted a question abotu stretching a few days ago. mos tpeople say to lubricate the taper and use them after you get out of the shower so your tissue is softer.

The best place to get the gages is at Hot topic. I'd start with an 18 or so and work your way down the number scale from there, replacing every few weeks. Warning: It does get quite a bit more expensive the larger the gage.

well first you start out with a normal sized gauge say 16 to 18 then after a couple weeks like maybe 6 weeks go down a couple gauges because in gauges it's 20 gauge is the smallest and 0 down is the biggest but don't go so big that your ear lobes rip...ps that person above me is very wrong you don't go from 14 to 16 then the whole thing is screwed up and they'll never gauge right the person probably doesn't know anything about peircings and gauging i hate that when people make them selves sound smart when there really not

If you are a teenager, then you should ask for your parents' permission. If they find out what you have been up to, I promise you; they won't be happy!
If you don't have your ears pierced, then go to a piercer, and have them pierced at around 14ga,with a NEEDLE, never a gun and wait until they're healed before you start streching. (Nb, ear lobes are easier to strech than cartilage)
Start at the next gauge size up from your piercing. So if you have 14ga, then go for 16ga.(charts of the different sizes, including conversions to European measurments are easily located on the internet so be sure to check BEFORE you buy your equiptment) Buy a stainless steel taper, and steel jewelry, NOT acrylic which harbours bacteria and is not suitable for freshly streched ears. ( Ask at a reputable store and they will help you to pick out a taper etc)
Use lubrication, like KY jelly and apply liberally to both the tapers and your ear. It helps to strech after a hot shower or bath, and it also helps to massage your ear alittle before starting.
To strech: slide the taper firmly through your ear. There should be no excessive pain, or bleeding. Push the taper all the way through and then insert the jewelry- flesh tunnels, plugs or CBRs are all apropriate as long as they are high standard materials.
Clean of all the lube and make sure O-ring are in place if neccesary.

Probably start with a smaller gauge and then after months go to a bigger one and continue getting bigger as the hole expands..

do it at your own risk. once youve gauged your ears largr then a zero, you will have to have them surgically closed when you decide your over it. its cost about $6000-8000!!!!
