I guess I'm such an old fuddy-duddy that all I ever do at midnight is sleep - or at least pre-9/11.
It probably has something to do with the fact I don't really believe in rituals for luck and health and such. In our little corner of the world, for some reason eating black-eyed peas on New Year's is supposed to bring you good luck, but there have been many years I didn't eat them (don't like 'em much lol) and had a great year lol.
Since 9/11 however, I do sit up and watch the New York celebration and hold my breath and pray. It just seems that if there were to be an attack on us, it would be then and easily done at that.

I sit tight and pray for the number of baffoons who drive drunk or celebrate like a bunch of hyenas and mess it up for other peeps are less than last years.
