I have never heard that term used. The answerer that said it had something to do with cross dressing I think does not understand schizophrenia. That's not surprising because even the medical profession does not understand what causes it. The most severe type of "schizophrenia" is paranoid schizophrenia and it is better called Dopamine Dysfunctional Disorder, DDD, which is more scientifically descriptive of it than the label "schizophrenia".

A group of British Psychiatrists have formed "The Committee for the Abolition of the Schizophrenia Label, CASL. Some of them are those who proposed substituting the more scientific designation DDD because the label schizophrenia mostly serves to "cancel the life of the person to whom it is affixed" Spreading the rumor that DDD patients might be cross dressers only serves to heighten the prejudice surrounding those who have the condition

It comes from research that suggests that cross-dressers/cross-dressing or other sexual identity problems is linked with schizophrenia.
