I just returned after working overseas for five years. The two blokes who were my closest friends betrayed me in various ways, and casual aquaintances dont really last for years on end. Most of my good friends are spread around the world, so the bizarre result is that I dont really have any friends left here in my own home town. Nice to be with family though.

Some of us choose not to mix with the Drunks and the Idiots that drive Drunk!
People act like "Asses" especially on New Years Eve! Typically it is just like any other day? All those New Years Resolutions are often NOT KEPT any more after January 15th or so!
Thanks for asking my opinion! Also IF I did have someone to Celebrate NYD with It would probably be a Walk on the Beach after a fine home made meal [I love to cook]!
Thanks, RR

I am not particularly fond of the celebration that has others around me blizted out. I prefer to have my wits about me.
Nothing like the present to remember what the New Year brings.
Out celebrating will happen in my own special way and I like the way I like a few close friends and family close by.
Its my perfect way to bring in a New Year.
good times good fun and not senseless .
I guess we all celebrate in our own special way.
Happy New Year to you I am sorry you have to work .

1.) It's still early where I am, 2.) I prefer to celebrate at home without alcohol, since I don't drink, and 3.) I cannot afford to go to any parties, since I'm on a fixed income(disability).
