I wonder if it will help to wear shorts like bicyclist wear?

Yea "Me M", he runs 10 miles in jeans. He just never heard of workout clothes!
Are you kidding me, don't sell yourself short, ten miles is great! I feel good if I can run 5 a day. That thigh thing happens to me, too. Any moisturizer, like Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion, will heal it quickly. Also, that Gold Bond works well too. What kind of material do you wear on your legs? Cotton is probably more forgiving than anything else, and when you get back from running, dry the area right away so it doesn't just sit there in moisture.

Dude, 10 miles a day is GREAT! Bravo you! Just don't overdo...
I've had the thigh issue myself (I'm female) and I wear something similar to bike shorts when I run (long legs, spandex). The long leg on the shorts and spandex helps keep the shorts snug to my leg and reaches down below my inner thigh where the rubbing can occur.
That's one option anyway, perhaps other folks will have some alternate methods.

I run about .00001 miles a day.
yet I have no problem shifting around 4 or 500 pound steel plates all day long
go figure!
Now the thigh thing is simple. Auormar all, or talc..
your preference either wet or dry, frictions a *****.

Without see you run I would guess that you are running a bit pigeon toe or running with an inside step.
Give this a try. When running have your thumb pointing upwards and a bit and pump a little more with the arm,

Maybe switch to biking or running on an eliptical machine where your thighs are not touching? Just until they are toned enough to not touch. Also try some thigh toning exercises along with your exercise, to help them on their way. Way to go for running so much! It's quite an accomplishment!

You are probably causing more harm with wear on your body by running unnatural distances every day. The body is not designed for such repetitive stresses.

You can wear some tight shorts, like spandex. Powder may help as well.

Rub them down with vaseline or something slick. Don't put poweder on them, it will only dry it out and make it more chaffed. A&D ointment will work fine too.
