Now that the kids are all in school. I would like to work but I don't really think I would be good at it anymore. LOL. Too old to do what someone else wants, their way! Anyway, I thought to myself what do I like to do? What am I good at? The answer to both is cooking. And everyone else I know seems to hate to cook. So I thought I could list about 40 different food items and let people pick what they want to eat. Tell (email) them the groceries they would need to buy, then I would go to their house while they were at work and make their dinner. Has anyone ever heard of this? My friends seem to think it is a great idea. I'm going to do a practice run an them for the next couple of weeks to see how it all works. I was thinking to charge. $20 for a day, $80 if you go the week, and $300 with a loaf of homemade bread and a dessert per week thrown in if you go the month

I think it's a great idea! That's how my cousin got started in her business. She started out housecleaning, and then started making dinners for the people. Word spread, and she ended up opening her own restaurant and catering company!

Good luck, it can work!

i think that's a good idea!!!!

i cant remember if i heard about this, read about this or seen a commercial about this- but there's actually a company that just started up that has a similar concept. they go out and buy the groceries and make the dishes for the families.

and another idea- start up your own catering company.
