I Coppi on 9th Street and Avenue A in the East Village. $20 for an appetizer, entree, drink and coffee. Dessert's not included. The spaghetti carbonara is outstanding.

Arabelle in the Plaza Athenee Hotel - 64th and Madison - is wonderful - costs about $70 - scrumptious buffet includes lobster, shrimp, fresh fish, fresh fruits, etc. and, then when you've eaten so much you can't move, you get to order and eat your entree.

If you have a sweet tooth, try the brunch at Brasserie 8 1/2 on West 57th Street and Fifth Avenue. Brunch is $27, fresh seafood, made to order omelet station, crepe station and pasta station. The pastries! Don't fill up on food - you can get food anytime, but these pastries are something special (I'm talking about the pastries that are laid out on the bar - not the Krispy Kremes that are on the upper level. The pastry chef here is so gifted.

If you go to Tavern on the Green, you will find nothing but unsuspecting tourists. New Yorkers know better. It's a beautiful place, but the food is so bad. Nice place for a drink, but that's all.

For brunch Tavern on the Green has got to be the most popular place to go. You get a good meal and the view of central park is great. If you have never been you will have a great time.
